Coyote
Canyon Conservancy
home of Okanogan Oberhaslis
Welcome to our virtual farm! Coyote Canyon Conservancy began in 1999 - my brother had convinced me that Y2K would be the end of the world as we know it(!) and we bought 4 goats to provide milk and meat (ha!). We decided if we were going to have animals, we would choose rare breeds in hopes of helping to keep them viable and around. Well - little did I know how addicting Oberhasli Dairy goats would become! Such sweet imps! After finding the world intact in 2000 we set about collecting other rare breeds with an eye for improving the quality of the breeds. We linear appraise the goats yearly. What a GREAT tool! We have totally transformed our herd in the course of 4 years with this tool. We CAE test twice a year and have had clear tests every year. We dam raise the baby goats - finding they grow very fast and seem more resistant to problems.
The web site is in process here - so watch for more as we have time to develop the site.
